Mother's Day Flowers for All Celebrations

April 18, 2016 06:30 AM

Mother’s Day is one of the most special holidays celebrated throughout the world, as we celebrate the amazing women who gave us life, nurtured us and inspired us.  While the United States celebrates mothers on the second Sunday in May, countries throughout the world celebrate on the day of their choosing, most commonly March and May.

Plano, Richardson, Allen, McKinney Texas Florist

While it might seem that Mother’s Day was invented by a clever conglomeration of florists and greeting card companies, the US modern-day celebration of motherhood was actually introduced by one woman, Anna Jarvis, in the early-1900s. After the death of her own mother, she fought hard to make Mother's Day a national holiday. It was made official by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914.

At our Plano, TX based flower and gift shop, we understand the value your mom is to you.  Let us help you bring a smile to her face with any celebration you choose.  You might want to take her to a sporting event, a concert, or a show.  Maybe she's the type to take to a nice restaurant, or maybe a picnic in the park.  Or, is your mom the type to send off to a spa retreat for the day?  Anyway you decide to celebrate, let flowers bring a smile to her day from the start.  The aroma of fresh flowers from a florist will guarantee to keep mom happy as she wakes up for her special day and start celebrating with her loved ones.

While we question many things in life, whether or not we should celebrate our mother's should be one of the easiest decisions we make.  Enjoy a stress free day allowing Flowerama of Plano to help with your celebrations.  Your mom is special and unique, and so should her flowers.  We proudly serve McKinney, Allen, Richardson and Plano TX from our beautiful flower shop and unique gift store.
